Scarborough.
Cabins in bright rainbow colours, weathered icons of the british seaside.
A proud light house standing tall. Its weathervane made me smile.
Flags fluttering excitedly in the crisp winds.
The sea! Oh how I have yearned to be near it.
The most elegant bridge watching over the lapping waves.
Intriguing alleys, inviting to explore.
A pilgrimage point. My heroine Anne Bronte rests here.

Tuesday 24th August.
As my childhood heroine Anne of Green Gables would say,
today I met a kindred spirit.
Thank you for being you Mel.

Monday 23rd August
View from my bedroom window tonight.
I love rainbows.
Seeing one today has done my soul the world of good.
The Rainbow Song below was the first song that I learned in English.
I remember feeling most proud of myself.
Red and yellow and pink and green
Purple and orange and blue
I can sing a rainbow,
sing a rainbow,
sing a rainbow too.
Listen with your eyes,
Listen with your ears,
and sing everything you see,
I can sing a rainbow,
sing a rainbow,
sing along with me.
