Tuesday 31st August

The last day of August Break is upon me,

I celebrate with an abundance of ripe tomatoes at long last,

I am sure they taste the sweeter for having grown them myself.

And of course a glass of delicious red.

Cheers!

Monday 30th August

Bath.

Romans residing, keeping a watchful eye on their creation.

Healing waters, bubbling with life.

A magical well with sparkling pennies.

Signs and doorways shining with detail.

A quest to search for lions of a creative kind.

Time to rest in the warm sunshine, cream tea galore.

Sunday 29th August.

A day spent catching up with myself.

With much determination I searched for magic in my every day tasks!

Saturday 28th August

I will not lived an unlived life.

Reclaiming purpose and passion.

Written by Dawna Markova.

Amazing.

Friday 27th August

Scarborough.

Cabins in bright rainbow colours, weathered icons of the british seaside.

A proud light house standing tall. Its weathervane made me smile.

Flags fluttering excitedly in the crisp winds.

The sea! Oh how I have yearned to be near it.

The most elegant bridge watching over the lapping waves.

Intriguing alleys, inviting to explore.

A pilgrimage point. My heroine Anne Bronte rests here.

Thursday 26th August

For fast acting relief, try slowing down.

Wednesday 25th August

I finally finished the first page of my art journal today.

Whenever I create I feel like the real me.

It makes me wonder why I don’t create more often.

I need to banish those limitations!

Tuesday 24th August.

As my childhood heroine Anne of Green Gables would say,

today I met a kindred spirit.

Thank you for being you Mel.

Monday 23rd August

View from my bedroom window tonight.

I love rainbows.

Seeing one today has done my soul the world of good.

The Rainbow Song below was the first song that I learned in English.

I remember feeling most proud of myself.

Red and yellow and pink and green

Purple and orange and blue

I can sing a rainbow,

sing a rainbow,

sing a rainbow too.

Listen with your eyes,

Listen with your ears,

and sing everything you see,

I can sing a rainbow,

sing a rainbow,

sing along with me.

Sunday 22nd August

The more one does and sees and feels, the more one is able to do,

and the more genuine may be one’s appreciation of fundamental things

like home, and love, and understanding companionship.

Amelia Earhart

Home sweet home.

Saturday 21st August

Bad Salzuflen.

Beautiful.

Delicious.

Friday 20th August

Evenings spent in good company, surrounded by light.

Thursday 19th August

The stunning town of Lemgo.

Meandering streets coupled with medieval alleyways.

Buildings whispering with the wisdom of the old.

Twirling church spires, keeping each other company.

Glowing red roof tops and magical signs.
